Ebonyi state governor and chairman of the SouthEast governors forum, Dave Umahi, has said the emergence of an Igbo president come 2023 lies in the hands of God.
Calls have been made to move the SouthEast come 2023.
However, the two dominant parties; APC and PDP are yet to announce which should pick their presidential ticket for 2023.
In a conversation with Channels TV on Monday night, August 2, Umahi who defected to the ruling APC last year, was asked if the Igbos would be able to pick up the presidential ticket of the APC.
Here was his reply:
“It’s in the hands of God”
He was further questioned as to if God is a member of the APC to take such a decision, and he said:
“He is. He directs our affairs. He gives breath to every man so power belongs to God. Whatever thing we wish will come through only through God. If God says yes, no one can say no.”
