Cristiano Ronaldo all set for a shock return to former club Manchester United.
According to Italian social media soccer transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City has decided to pull out of negotiations.
Romano tweeted earlier today:
“Manchester City have decided to LEAVE negotiations for Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He’s NOT joining Manchester City – club position has been so clear in the last minutes.
“Important to clarify: personal terms have never been agreed, same fee for Juventus.”
Ronaldo spent six years at Old Trafford earlier in his career, winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League, before he left for Real Madrid.
His return to United has been met with great buzz and is trending online for good reason.
“We’ve always had good communication. Bruno [Fernandes] has been talking to him as well and he knows what we feel about him. And if he was ever gonna move away from Juventus he knows we’re here,” United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, told a press conference on Friday.
